Danish turbine-maker Vestas has been appointed preferred supplier for the 86MW Burgos wind farm project in the Philippines.
The
project,
in
Ilocos
Norte,
North
Luzon,
is
owned
by
Energy
Development
Corporation
(EDC),
the
country's
largest
geothermal
energy
producer.
The
Philippines
approved
feed-in
tariffs
for
wind,
solar,
hydro
power
and
biomass
in
August
last
year,
in
a
move
set
to
kick-start
renewable
power
generation
in
the
country.
