decided
the
Allendale
East
project
in
the
state
of
South
Australia
is
“not
commercially
viable”.
Advancing

planned
46-turbine
wind
farm
had
proved
far
from
easy
for
Acciona.
In
June
2011
Allendale
East
was
blocked
by
a
state
court
on
the
grounds
of
“visual
amenity”
in
a
ruling
believed
to
be
a
first
for
Australia.
Later
that
year
Acciona
said
it
would
submit
revised
plans,
but
the
latest
announcement
seals
its
fate.
