REpower a plus for loss-making Suzlon

REpower is providing all the good news for Suzlon

The huge importance of Germany’s REpower Systems to the fortunes of owner Suzlon was underlined as the Indian wind group posted another big quarterly loss.

REpower increased its revenues by 58% in the first nine months of Suzlon’s financial year, said its Indian owner, while achieving “robust order intake momentum and best-in-class order coverage ratio”.

The good news from REpower contrasted with a Suzlon group third-quarter net loss of 11.54bn rupees ($214m) for the three months ending December.

That compared with 8.07bn rupee deficit in the prior quarter and a 2.87bn rupee loss in the equivalent three months in 2011.
