Ming Yang hires ex-Bosch man to lead R&D

China’s fourth-largest turbine maker, Ming Yang, has appointed a former Bosch Rexroth director to the position of president in the company.

Zhao Xueyong, previously director of product development and technology at Bosch Rexroth’s China unit, will be in charge of Ming Yang’s research and development (R&D), manufacturing operations, overseas market development and human resources management.

He will report to chief executive Zhang Chuanwei.

Zhao has more than 10 years of experience in wind-power technology R&D.

Prior to his role at Bosch Rexroth, where he oversaw the wind power business unit in China, he was the deputy director of R&D at German gearbox maker Eickhoff, specialising in wind turbine drive systems.
