Beaufait joins Vestas on 1 April from his current post as president andgeneral manager of GE Aviation in China.
The appointment of Beaufait fills the gap left by former Asia Pacific& China supremo Jens Tommerup, who last year moved to become CEO of the newVestas-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries offshore joint venture.
US citizen Beaufait, who also becomes a Vestas group seniorvice-president, succeeds regional chief operating officer (COO) Danny Nielsen, whohas been leading the operation in the interim and continues in his COO role.
