Oil India – which is effectively owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas – will receive 5.16 rupees ($0.09) per kWh of electricity fed into the Rajasthani grid by the 27-turbine project.

Based in the state of Assam, Oil India entered the renewables space with the commissioning of a 13.6MW wind farm in the same region last year. Chairman S K Srivastava claimed the company intends to invest “in many more such projects” in future.
