Gamesa in 54MW India wind deal
Spanish wind group Gamesa has won deal to build and equip a 54MW plant in India.
The agreement, with an Indian utility company that Gamesa does not name, relates to a plant in at Tagguparthi, Andhra Pradesh.
Gamesa said: “The contract calls for the wind farm development, as well as the supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance for 10 years of 27 G97-2.0 MW turbines.”
Commissioning is scheduled to be complete by May 2014.
Gamesa said it has installed more than 900MW in India and manages more than 800MW under O&M agreements. Its development pipeline in India stands at 4.3GW.
