Goldwind installs Romania turbine

Leading Chinese turbine manufacturer Goldwind has installed its first 2.5MW machine at a 50MW wind farm in Romania.

It expects to deliver the rest of the order by the end of this year. The turbine is the first Chinese model to be installed in Romania, Beijing-based Goldwind said in an online statement.

It did not reveal the financial terms of the deal.

The project, located in the Black Sea port of Constanta, is scheduled to go on line next June.

In October, Goldwind posted a July-September net profit of 95.3m yuan ($15.6m), from a loss of 33.5m yuan during the same period a year earlier.
