Ming Yang won the deal for its 1.5MW machines via Global Wind Power, the Indian wind technology supplier in which it holds a stake.
The agreement was reported yesterday, quoting Hiren Shah, Global Wind Power’s CEO.
The company subsequently confirmed the deal to Recharge in a statement from its HQ in India.
It has not named the developer that will buy the turbines.
