EDF rebuffed over UK 28MW

France's EDF has been refused planning permission for its 28MW Bullington Cross wind farm in southern England.

Three local authorities and the UK Ministry of Defence opposed the 14-turbine project citing "detrimental visual impact", as the South Downs National Park and North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are located in the area.

EDF had already cut two turbines from Bullington Cross in late 2012, and now says it "will carefully review the grounds for this decision and consider options going forward”.
