All-Energy moving to Glasgow

The annual All-Energy renewables conference and exhibition is moving to Glasgow from Aberdeen as of next year.

All Energy – which claims to be the UK’s largest clean-energy event – said the switch to Scotland’s biggest city will allow the show to evolve and grow, and facilitate international contact-making for participants.

Aberdeen Renewables Energy Group’s (AREG) chief operating officer Morag McCorkindale called the decision “deeply disappointing” and said the body would look to develop its own renewable events.

Aberdeen Council said it is tackling a shortage of hotel rooms after pricey accommodation was cited as one of the reasons for moving the event.
