Vestas adds 63MW in Philippines

Vestas has booked a 63MW follow-on order from the Philippines for the second stage of the Burgos wind farm.

The EPC deal will see the Danish manufacturer deliver and install 21 of its V90-3.0 MW machines to the wind farm in Ilocos Norte province.

Vestas last year got the initial order to kit-out the first 87MW Burgos stage for operator EDC.

It was mooted at the time that EDC hoped to expand the plant to 150MW.

Delivery of the latest batch of turbines is due in the second quarter of this year.

The contract includes a 10-year service agreement.
