Teesside

EDF Energy Renewables – the UK subsidiary of the French utility giant – has formally opened its Teesside offshore wind farm off the northeast coast of England.

The 62MW Teesside plant uses 27 2.3MW Siemens turbines.

The turbines began operating in mid-2013, but were temporarily shut down earlier this year while technical investigations were carried out.
