Campos dos Ventos II primed in Brazil

CPFL-owned wind turbines in Brazil

Campos dos Ventos II will join these turbines in CPFL's wind fleet

Brazilian renewables company CPFL Renováveis is waiting for authorisation from power regulator Aneel to start pre-commercial tests of the 30MW Campos dos Ventos II complex in the newly-connected region of João Câmara in the northeastern state of Rio Grande do Norte.

Campos dos Ventos II was completed and has been ready to start operations since September 2013.

It has been standing idle, along with the Santa Clara wind power complex, because of a lack of grid connections, which were completed late last month by federal power company Chesf.

CPFL Renováveis also confirmed that the 188MW Santa Clara Complex, including Eurus VI, has started pre-commercial tests and will start operations by March 30.
