Last foundation in at Dan Tysk

The final foundation has been installed at the 288MW Dan Tysk wind farm in the German North Sea.

The last of 80 monopiles was placed by partners Per Aarsleff and Bilfinger Berger.

The companies hailed the installation effort as a significant achievement, given the storms that have lashed the region.

Dan Tysk is being developed jointly by Vattenfall and Munich utility SWM.

The wind farm, which is using Siemens 3.6MW turbines, is scheduled for completion early next year.
