Vestas wins Nova Scotia order

Vestas has received a 24MW order for 12 V100 wind turbines from new customer juwi Wind Canada for four projects in the province of Nova Scotia.

Deliveries for the Truro Heights, Millbrook, Whynotts and Chebucto Pockwock projects are expected to occur in mid-2014 with commissioning in the second half of next year. The hubs and nacelles will be assembled in Colorado, while blades and towers will come from the company’s European factories.

“We have already delivered turbines this year to eight different projects in Canada to help solidify our number one position in the country. We look forward to doing more in 2014 with juwi Wind and other customers,” says Chris Brown, president of Vestas’ sales and service Log in to read complete article.
