GE has secured a 35MW order to equip a wind farm in Turkey.

The order from Gama Enerji will see the US manufacturer deliver 13 of its 2.75-103 turbines to the Gok 2 project, 40km from Izmir.

The wind farm is due to enter commercial operation next year. The turbine order follows a finance deal for Gok 2 signed by Gama Enerji  with TSKB in Istanbul.

Gama Enerji is a joint venture between Turkish construction group Gama and GE Energy Financial Services.

Gok 2 will be the third wind farm developed under the JV, bringing the total to 67.5MW.
