Japanese renewables developer Eurus has taken a 40% share in EDF Renewable Energy’s 101MW  Spearville 3 wind project in Kansas, US.

Eurus will own the wind farm with investment group BlackRock, which has also taken a 40% equity stake, and its French-owned developer, which will provide long-term operations and maintenance services to the plant.

Spearville 3 consists of 63 GE 1.6MW wind turbines on the site northeast of Dodge City.

The wind farm last October started sending electricity to Kansas City Power & Light under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
