Gamesa gets 264MW US O&M deal

Spanish wind group Gamesa has agreed a 10-year operation and maintenance (O&M) extension deal for a 264MW wind farm in the US state of West Virginia.

The company will provide a full-service O&M package to plant-owner NedPower for its Mount Storm wind farm – one of the largest in service in the eastern US.

The wind farm uses 132 Gamesa G80-2.0 MW turbines.

The new deal takes effect in July and replaces the five-year agreement  Gamesa signed when Mount Storm entered service in 2008.

Gamesa says it has more than 2GW under service contracts in the US.
