Goldwind names new president

Goldwind’s international operations have expanded significantly

China’s top wind turbine maker Goldwind has appointed its current chief of international business Wang Haibo to the role of president, replacing founder Wu Gang who had held the role on a temporary basis.

Wang, aged 39, was previously vice-president of the company, and is an executive director.

In a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange, Goldwind explains the move simply as being “for the further development of the company”, without offering additional details.

Wu will remain chairman of the board and chief executive at the firm. Wang will report directly to Wu and is expected to take care of the day-to-day operations at the company.
