Vestas brings in ex-Nordex CEO

Vestas has hired former Nordex chief executive Thomas Richterich as interim head of its Central Europe operation, replacing existing incumbent Wolfgang Schmitz.

Schmitz, the current president of Vestas Central Europe, and Udo Noebel, managing director at Vestas Deutschland, will both leave the Danish wind turbine group, it says in a statement.

It says Richterich will ensure business continuity. He left Nordex last April after more than a decade on the German turbine manufacturer’s board, citing “personal reasons”.
