Mitsui
will
buy
the
stake
from
EDF
Energies
Nouvelles
(EDF
EN),
the
French
power
giant’s
renewables
arm,
via
a
newly-established
subsidiary
called
MIT
Renewables
Mexico.
The
$400m
Bii
Stinu
project
is
due
to
start
commercial
operations
in
Oaxaca,
Mexico,
in
June
this
year.
It
will
use
82
Gamesa
2MW
wind
turbines
and
has
15-year
power
supply
deals
in
place
with
five
private
sector
buyers,
says
EDF.
