Bladt
says
the
substation
arrived
at
its
yard
in
Aalborg
in
two
sections
just
before
the
new
year,
the
steel
frame
having
been
pre-fabricated
by
a
subcontractor
in
Poland.
Bladt
will
now
install
all
the
electrical
equipment
and
other
components
required
to
harness
the
72
Vestas
3MW
turbines
destined
for
Northwind,
formerly
known
as
Eldepasco.
Bladt
is
simultaneously
kitting
out
an
offshore
substation
for
the
Borkum
Riffgrund
1
project
under
development
in
the
German
North
Sea.
But
it
says
the
top
section
of
the
Northwind
substation
–
at
309
tonnes
–
