Vestas books 54MW order for wind farm project in Mexico

Vestas has picked up a 54MW turbine order in Mexico, which continues to bolster its position as a key emerging renewables market.

The Danish wind giant will deliver 30 of its V100 turbines, rated at 1.8MW each, in the second-quarter of 2013. It will then install and commission the project by early 2014, with a 15-year service agreement in place.

Vestas did not reveal the customer or the location of the project.

In July 2012, Vestas received a 50.4MW order for its V100 turbines for the Los Altos project in the west Mexican state of Jalisco.
