REG orders Gamesa turbines for wind farm in England

UK developer Renewable Energy Generation (REG) has ordered three wind turbines from Gamesa for a project in eastern England.

REG will use the Spanish group’s 2MW G80 machines at its new Burnthouse Farm, Cambridgeshire, wind plant, which is due to be ready in mid-2013.

It is the first time REG has ordered the G80. The UK company says it hopes to bring more projects into the construction phase over the next year.
