Gamesa has sold an 8MW wind farm in France to London-based investment group Impax Asset Management.

The development arm of the Spanish wind giant will within the next few weeks start building the La Souterraine project in the Limousin region of France, which will be equipped with four Gamesa G97 2.0MW turbines.

The deal is Impax’s first acquisition from Gamesa and was completed via its French subsidiary Epuron.

Impax has more than 200MW of wind projects in its portfolio, spanning France, Germany and Poland.
