The
Austrian
subcontractor
died
on
Monday
after
a
rotor
blade
dropped
onto
his
crane
cabin
at
the
site
in
Mannhagen,
turbine
supplier
Vestas
said.
The
public
prosecutor’s
office
will
investigate
whether
the
incident
was
a
case
of
“negligent
homicide”
and
is
awaiting
an
expert
analysis
by
vehicle
and
industrial
inspection
specialist
DEKRA.
The
investigation
will
check
whether
workers
at
the
site
were
adequately
prepared
for
the
job
and
if
all
necessary
safety
measures
had
been
taken,
public
prosecutor
Ralf
Lechte
told
Recharge
today.
