project

the
Uruguayan
department

Lavalleja.

developed
by
WPE,

subsidiary

Argentina’s
Impsa,
which
will
deploy
44
of
its
own
turbines.
Spain’s
Abengoa
will
get
$41m
to
help
finance
construction
of
the
50MW
Palmatir
wind
farm
in
Tacuarembó,
which
will
use
25
Gamesa
machines.
The
IDB
says
the
projects
are
the
first
in
Uruguay
that
it
will
support
under
state
utility
UTE’s
renewable
energy
programme.
