Dong's early role keeps V164 turbine on track, says Vestas

A new deal with Dong Energy over testing helps to keep the V164 turbine project firmly on track towards commercialisation, claims manufacturer Vestas.

“It’s very valuable for Vestas and the development of the V164 that Dong is so actively stepping in to directly participate in further developing and testing of the turbine,” a Vestas spokesman tells Recharge.

“It is a great opportunity for Vestas to have one of the world’s most experienced offshore wind farm operators involved,” he adds.
