The Romanian plant uses 240 of GE's 2.5MW machines

The 600MW Fantanele/Cogealac wind complex in Romania is fully up and running after the grid connection of the final turbine, says equipment provider GE.

The US group says the wind park, owned by Czech utility group CEZ, uses 240 of its 2.5MW machines.

Fantanele/Cogealac is in the wind-rich Romanian region of Dobrogea.
