The
accident
happened
yesterday
morning
when
a
blade
dropped
onto
the
crane
cabin
during
installation
by
the
subcontractor.
Vestas
says
it
is
not
yet
clear
what
caused
the
fatal
incident
in
Mannhagen
and
it
has
hired
a
third-party
specialist
to
carry
out
an
investigation.
“Vestas
takes
safety
extremely
seriously
and
our
experts
will,
together
with
the
crane
company
and
authorities
conduct
a
thorough
investigation
to
establish
the
root
cause
of
this
accident,”
says
a
statement
from
the
Danish
group.
