As
exclusively
reported
yesterday,
the
French
power
equipment
group
will
deliver
its
M5000
5MW
machine
to
Wikinger,
which
will
be
built
in
2016
and
2017.
A
statement
from
Areva
says:
“This
success
follows
a
highly
competitive
tendering
process
with
several
different
offshore
technologies
proposed.
"Both
companies
will
now
enter
into
further
negotiations
to
finalise
the
commercial
and
technical
aspects
of
the
supply
contract.”
Areva
has
already
partnered
with
Spain’s
Iberdrola
for
the
first
French
offshore
wind
tender.
