Rampion
is
based
on
the
Hastings
zone,

smallest
of
the
development
areas
licensed
by
the
UK’s
Crown
Estate
in
January
2010.
At
700MW,
however,
it
is
significantly
bigger
than
London
Array,
the
largest
offshore
wind
farm
under
construction
in
the
world.
Output
from
Rampion
will
be
able
to
supply
450,000
households,
more
than
two
thirds
of
the
homes
in
the
neighbouring
counties
of
East
and
West
