As
part
of
the
contract,
Wood
Group
will
construct
and
operate
meteorological
stations
on
the
coasts
of
Norfolk
and
Suffolk,
eastern
England.
The
met-masts
will
be
fabricated
by
Scottish
company
Steel
Engineering.
Manufacturing
begins
in
November
and
the
met-stations
will
be
installed
in
summer
2013.
Data
gathered
from
the
met-stations
will
“allow
the
consortium
to
take
fundamental
decisions
about
the
engineering
of
the
project,”
says
Iberdrola,
adding
that
they
will
be
“the
most
advanced
meteorological
stations
in
the
UK".
