Nordisk Vindkraft buys 500MW Norwegian wind farm portfolio

Nordisk Vindkraft has experience of building wind farms in northern Sweden

Swedish developer Nordisk Vindkraft has taken control at a five-strong portfolio of wind projects in Norway with the potential for a total capacity of up to 500MW.

Nordisk Vindkraft purchased the projects in the counties of Agder and Rogaland, in southwestern Norway, from local developer HybridTech for an undisclosed sum.

HybridTech will retain a minority interest in the wind farms and will continue to support their development.

Owned by UK-based renewable energy group RES, Nordisk Vindkraft has built more than 230MW of wind capacity in Sweden.

Chief executive Arne Lorenzen says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Nordisk Vindkraft to expand into the Norwegian market, and the portfolio will serve as a platform for continued growth in Norway.
