The
installation
would
be
the
backbone
of
a
£25m
project,
announced
in
October,
which
is
targeting
the
design,
construction
and
installation
of
a
floater
by
2016
at
a
site
with
water
depths
of
between
60-100
metres
and
wind
speeds
up
to
about
10
metres
per
second.
Testing
of
the
floating
wind
turbine
would
run
for
at
least
two
years.
