Gamesa scores 47.6MW order in India's Maharashtra state

Spanish wind turbine maker and project developer Gamesa has won another order in its key India market – for a 47.6MW wind farm in Maharashtra state.

SJVN, a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Undertaking and a joint venture with Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh, has placed the order for 56 Gamesa 850kW turbines.

Gamesa has signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract to build the project, and the deal includes a ten-year operation and maintenance services agreement. The project in District Ahmednagar should be commissioned within eight months.
