The
biannual
report,
written
with
campaign
group
Greenpeace,
predicts
that
global
installed
wind
capacity
could
hit
1,150GW
by
2020,
up
from
238GW
last
year,
if
a
number
of
obstacles
currently
facing
the
market
are
overcome.
The
'advanced
scenario'
–
one
of
three
different
pathways
outlined
by
the
report
for
growth
of
the
sector
–
is
almost
double
that
of
the
2020
forecast
by
the
International
Energy
Agency
(587GW).
