deal
encompasses
delivery,
technical
field
assistance
and
commissioning
of
112
2.37MW
wind
turbines,
with
a
two-year
service
and
maintenance
contract.
Siemens
will
manufacture
a
majority
of
nacelles
and
hubs
for
Ocotillo
at
its
Hutchinson,
Kansas,
facility
and
blades
from
a
plant
in
Fort
Madison,
Iowa,
according
to
Mark
Albenze,
chief
executive
of
Siemens
Energy’s
Wind
Power
Americas
business.
Ocotillo
is
now
under
construction.
Plans
call
for
placing
most
of
the
project
into
commercial
operation
in
2012,
with
a
portion
going
online
in
the
first
half
of
2013.
