Ming Yang gets right to develop 300MW of wind in China's Yunnan

Chinese turbine manufacturer Ming Yang has signed an agreement with local authorities in southern China’s Yunnan province to build three wind farms.

The projects in Weishan county near Dali amount to 300MW and the expected investment is 2.8bn yuan ($449m).

The first phase is expected to complete construction by the end of August 2015.

After signing a deal with local officials securing the rights to the projects, Ming Yang tells Recharge it is still working on the details of potential partnership agreements to develop the wind farms.
