The
1.5GW
contract,
signed
in
April
2010,
was
to
cover
deliveries
in
2011
and
2012,
and
contained
an
option
for
a
further
600MW
of
deliveries.
Since
then
EDPR
has
slowed
down
the
development
of
its
wind
farm
capacity,
as
it
hit
headwinds
in
markets
such
as
the
US
and
Portugal.
Vestas
says
that
extending
the
period
will
not
affect
its
forecast
of
around
6.3
GW
of
shipments
in
2012.
