bidders

Alstom,
Siemens,
Vestas,
Gamesa
and
Acciona,
according
to
Theolia,
which
owns
the
existing
50.4MW
wind
farm
and
future
development
rights
alongside
its
partner,
Morocco’s
Office
National
de
l’Électricité
et
de
l’Eau
Potable
(ONEE).
The
wind
farm
–
among
the
first
in
Africa
–
was
commissioned
in
2000
using
84
Vestas
V44
turbines,
rated
at
600kW
each.
Last
year
the
Moroccan
government
awarded
Theolia
and
ONEE
the
rights
to
repower
Koudia
Al
Baida,
located
near
Tangiers,
up
to
100MW.
