REpower to supply 295MW of turbines for RWE’s Nordsee Ost

RWE Innogy and utility Essent have added two REpower 6M model offshore turbines to the onshore wind farm serving the Dutch city of Eemshaven.
The two 6.15MW machines bring the capacity of the Westereems wind farm to 168MW.
RWE will use the 6M at its Nordsee Ost offshore development in German waters.
It says the land-based installation will give it the chance to gain further operational insights ahead of deployment at sea.
