Vestas wins 27MW turbine supply deal for Turkish wind project

Vestas has secured a 27MW order to equip a wind farm in Turkey with nine of its V112-3.0 MW turbines.

The Danish manufacturer will deliver the turbines to the Senbük wind project in Hatay – marking the first deployment of the V112-3.0 MW in Turkey.

Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2013, with commissioning expected in the following quarter.

The project is being developed by a joint venture between Turkish groups Zaf and Tefirom.

Vestas says the V112-3.0 MW is well-suited to the medium-to-low wind speeds that will prevail at the Senbük site.
