GE to supply 386MW of wind turbines to Renova in Brazil

GE will supply wind turbines for Renova Energia’s upcoming projects totalling 386MW in the Brazilian state of Bahia.

The US company has already supplied nearly 300MW worth of machines for Renova’s first wind farm complex, which was completed this year in Bahia state.

GE will supply a total of 230 turbines, of which all but five will be 1.68XLE models. The 1.68MW machines will use 80-metre towers and 82.5-metre rotors.

The remaining five turbines will be 1.6XLE turbines on 80-metre towers with 100-metre rotors.
