Gamesa to supply 4.5MW turbines for Finnish wind farms

Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has signed a deal to sell its 4.5MW G128 machines to Finnish developer TuuliWatti.

Gamesa will supply four of the G128 turbines with 140-metre towers to TuuliWatti’s Simo wind farm in northern Finland, with a 10-year service and maintenance agreement.

The turbines are scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2013 and are set to begin operating in the final quarter of next year.

The two companies have also signed a framework agreement that foresees the delivery of a further 26 turbines, or 117MW, over the coming months for four other wind farms in Finland.
