Siemens puts back Hull wind turbine factory sign-off until 2013

Siemens will wait until 2013 before taking a final decision on construction of its proposed £210m ($ 336.4m) nacelle fabrication facility at the port of Hull, eastern England.

Associated British Ports (ABP) Hull director Matt Jukes tells Recharge it is now expected that the German wind turbine giant will put pen to paper on leasing the consented 54-hectare Alexander Dock site at GreenPortHull “early next year”, with the factory up and running by 2014-15.
