DNV KEMA to work with SoWiTec at up to 50 wind projects

DNV KEMA will provide support across a wide range of areas during project development

Energy consultancy DNV KEMA has signed a deal to provide a range of services to German developer SoWiTec at up to 50 planned wind projects in Latin America and Russia.

Under the terms of the framework agreement, Netherlands-based DNV KEMA will provide support across areas including wind measurement, environmental assessment, project design and transmission issues.

The deal covers between 20 and 50 proposed projects in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Russia.

Sowitec last year secured a finance package from German investors to support the development of up to 1GW of wind projects in Latin America.
