The
Cuyahoga
County
Department
of
Development
(CCDD)
in
early
August
sought
proposals
for
geotechnical
services
that
would
have
included
test
borings,
soil
samplings
and
analysis
in
the
lake’s
sediment.
The
deadline
was
22
August
with
surveying
work
planned
for
September.
The
county
would
have
paid
the
contractor.
CCDD
decided
to
shelve
the
work
until
next
year
at
the
behest
of
lawyers
there
who
raised
questions
about
the
document’s
wording,
as
well
as
for
unspecified
weather-related
reasons.
