Ming Yang in offshore wind pact with China Guangdong Nuclear

Chinese turbine manufacturer Ming Yang has signed a deal with power group China Guangdong Nuclear (CGN) to co-develop wind projects, with a particular focus offshore.

Ming Yang and CGN – one of China’s major wind developers – will work together on an offshore wind project called Golden Bay in Jieyang, Guangdong province, says a statement from the turbine group.

Ming Yang gives no further details of Golden Bay, but says it aims to use the project as a model for other developments in China.

The two companies will also co-develop onshore and offshore wind farms in Fujian province, as well as working together on solar projects and “promoting overseas market opportunities”.
